We've been watching you. No, not in a creepy way… we just love you and think you're really interesting. So we wanted to find out what makes you tick. All month we're having a Sheeky Show + Tell on Facebook, asking you to share the quotes, pictures, ideas and stories that inspire you to walk tall, stand stylish, and be your most brilliant, authentic self. We're learning so much from you, and so much about you.

Since I was a little girl, my father would always tell me to, "Complete the Mission." He wanted me to give 100% to ANY and EVERY thing that I do, regardless of what other people think. I have followed this motto every day, and it has made me into the outrageous, passionate, and dedicated woman I am today. For Father's day this year, I decided to show him how much his words meant to me and I had this phrase tattooed onto my arm in his handwriting to be a reminder to myself (and my clients when they see it in class!) to "Complete the Mission..." Every chaturanga dandasana, bicep curl and deltoid press-no matter what it is, I have this reminder.

I'm self-empowered to show my daughters how to be, too. They are still little, but they need me to be a strong role model!

"I have no time for lies or fantasy, and neither should you. Enjoy or die". -- Johnny Rotten.
While I no longer go about in old school punk gear, I still love the edginess of punk music and fashion. DIY, individual freedom of expression, and acceptance of all beings just as they are, are still conerstones of my style, my practice, and my life.

I show up for myself everyday. Nuff said.

"A commitment to spiritual life necessarily means we embrace the eternal principle that love is all, everything, our true destiny. Despite overwhelming pressure to conform to the culture of lovelessness, we still seek to know love” - bell hooks

Being comfortable in my own body and getting to share that with others through teaching inspires my confidence.

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.” ~ Dr. Seuss It is so important to be who you are, say what you feel and above all be honest about both of those things. That is what makes me confident. ♥

… When ships lose their way, they are guided by the lighthouse.
When there is trouble or danger at sea, you can seek refuge by the light of the lighthouse.
In the midst of a storm the lighthouse will always guide the ships safely to shore.
Best of all, there is always someone in the lighthouse.
Be a lighthouse.
Let your life be a shining symbol for others.
Let everything you do be in service to someone.
Stand tall in the knowledge of who you are.
Stand proudly in the midst of difficult times.
Be aware that who you are and what you have to offer can be a beacon to some lost soul…

Pretty sure you have. She's that girl you can spot from a mile away – and you can tell, fun is coming. Life's an adventure for TRIXIE and everyone is always welcome to join in. And though her feet may be firmly rooted on the ground, her head is somewhere on a California beach.
Sure, TRIXIE can be a bit of a flirt, but that's just part of her zeal. She's magnetic!
So have you met TRIXIE? You have, because she's entirely inspired by you. See your fresh and playful side in our TRIXIE skirt, pant and halter – and let's roll.
Stay Sheeky,

November is a month for gratitude. Next week, we'll be gathering with our families and loved ones to celebrate all we have to be thankful for. And there's a lot. We're thankful for our relationships, for healthy bodies that let us move freely, for the sheeky team that helped us launch this gorgeous new website! And we're especially thankful for this sheeky community, full of strong, confident women who inspire us everyday with their fabulous zeal for life. We celebrated our second birthday recently by asking YOU about two things you're appreciating in your own life. Here are some of your powerful responses:
Amber Miller I'm celebrating the side of me that will no longer play the victim, and the side that will conquer all of my fears.
Jess Askin I am celebrating the joy of starting a life of living out loud & at the same time- realizing the journey to my true core self is happening in tandem. I celebrate the luck I have in just seeing this process unfold!
Stacie Shear Brown I am celebrating the joy that my 2 children bring to me everyday!
Jen Collins I am celebrating discovering who I am going to be as a yoga teacher, painting outside the lines and also the joy and peace that yoga and everything it stands for brings into my life!
Amanda Upton At this moment I am celebrating every mile of I-80 on my journey from Utah to Vermont for an exciting new job. I'm also celebrating my loving partner and travel companion who is sitting right next to me and making this big move with me!
SarahRose Bernhardt The number 2 represents many things in our lives (yin/yang, good/evil, highs/lows) andthis number has a special meaning for me this particular month. This month marks my 2 months of teaching (dream job), and will be my 2nd birthday celebration of my boyfriends since we have been 2gether. Happy almost birthday 2 you!
Lisa Beinetti Celebrating re-discovery of self and limitless expressions of joy! Jai!
Jodi Mardesich sunshine and lots of perennials to plant in my garden
Linsey Robinson Getting engaged to my child heart sweetheart (we met aged 6) and now expecting our first baby in February :)
Katja Meffert Congratulation meSheeky from Germany! I'm celebrating that I found myself in a place that's right and I can be happy that my family let myself be. Sarve bhavantu sukhina, sarve santu niramayaah, sarve bhadrani pasyantu, ma kaschid-dukha-bhag-bhavet.
You feel that? Its autumn creepin’ in and summer slippin’ out. They thought they’d pull a little switcheroo and leave us out in the cold. Eek, looks like its time to wave away the sundresses and pull out the cold weather getups. And how do you rock your signature sheeky style in shiver-worthy temperatures? Fear not, faithful Sheekette, we had our very own Sheeky Ops Manager, Brooke, cook up some outfit inspiration for you, using – what else – the BROOKE skirt!
1. Got a late afternoon date with your mat, but a seriously long to-do list? Shimmy your way from sidewalk to studio with leggings, a sweet off-the-shoulder top, fashionable fedora and shades to keep those UV rays off your peepers. Add BROOKE and your fave ‘one for one’ canvas flats. Presto.
2. A Sheekette’s gotta stay in shape. Pop BROOKE over leggings for sheekycheek coverage and lace up your tennies. Zip the hoodie, clip the iPod and whip that pavement. Whip it good.
3. Leaving on a jet plane? Or on a midnight train to Georgia? These layers are perf for travel: skinny pants, BROOKE, a bomber jacket for bundling up and a messenger style bag. Of course, some standout footwear never hurts (except when it does).
Just like the perfect jeans, a sheekinistas wardrobe isn’t complete without a BROOKE skirt (ahem, available here)! Let us know what you think of our sheeky BROOKE looks and tell us a little about yours? We’d love inspiration from the fabbest gals of all.
Love,
mS
Do you know this sheekette? You will!
We got a lotta love to give. And we're learning that some of the people we love the most, who's work we really admire, who are doing amazing things for the world, well, they love us too. And it's an awesome feeling.
So we're kicking off the official meSheeky ambassador program: SheekyLuv. We'll be showing off some of the strong, confident women who inspire us with their healthy bodies, minds and attitudes. They teach us yoga, yes, but they also teach us how to walk taller, give better and say it like we mean it.
Of course they look great in meSheeky clothes – who doesn't? What we really SheekyLuv is how they rock it. We're better at being in our skin, using our voice and serving our community because of them.
So stay tuned to meet some of the gals we have serious SheekyLuv for, and please introduce us to some of yours! If you know any teachers, seekers and doers who are on their way to making the world a more confident, healthy and fabulous place, we'd love to meet them! They might make great SheekyLuvs :)
Stay Sheeky,
mS
